The Elementary Mathematics Endorsement courses at Utah State University are a unique program designed to strengthen K-6 classroom teachers' knowledge of mathematics content and assessment. The 18-credit program includes six three-credit courses designed to specifically meet the Utah State Board of Education recommendations. This program of high-quality courses is aimed at improving mathematical knowledge for teaching at the Elementary level. All of the courses are available 100% online allowing working professionals to complete coursework when it is most convenient for them.

To provide practicing teachers a deeper understanding of algebraic expressions, equations, functions, real numbers, and instructional strategies to facilitate the instruction of this content for elementary students.
To provide practicing teachers a deeper understanding of the various types of assessment and their appropriate use for guiding instruction, intervention and evaluation of student learning.
